International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT), 21.05.2018, Institute of Political Science, University of Wroclaw

The European Commission is fully committed to combating discrimination against LGBTI people. Although 71% of EU citizens agree that LGBTI people should have the same rights as heterosexual people, according to a study by the European Fundamental Rights Agency (2013), 47% of LGBTI people report to be discriminated or harassed in the year preceding the survey.

On behalf of European Commission Regional Representation in Wrocław, Institute of Political Science at University of Wrocław and Kultura Równości Association we would like to invite you to:

• 11:30 - 13:30 – POLAND AND LGBTI RIGHTS ON THE MAP OF EUROPE - experts debate, Hall C Debate will explore legal and social acceptance and perceptions on discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity in Poland but also in Europe. The debate will be conducted in Polish and English. Simultaneous translation will be provided.
