Summer School LL.M. The EDELNet Partnership is delighted to announce that we are inviting applications to the annual EDELNet LL.M. Summer School in Public International Law. This year it will take place from 26 to 30 June in Berlin, Germany. As in previous years, 20-25 students from the FernUniversität Hagen (Germany), the Open Universiteit (Netherlands), UNED (Spain), Open University (UK) and the University of Wroclaw will meet at a wonderful location in the EU and have the opportunity to work together as international litigating teams in a moot court simulation designed to offer a high quality learning experience and an insight into real lawyering work. The University of Wrocław may nominate 4 students to participate in the Summer School.
In addition, participants will get a valuable chance to have a meaningful exchange with students and instructors from other European jurisdictions in an institutionally supportive and intellectually challenging environment. The programme begins with an online preparatory phase in March during which participants are expected to take a few short online courses. In the course of the programme you will receive well-structured and intensive training not only in legal matters, but also in soft skills such as academic debate, legal English, intercultural communication and team work.
Applicants are supposed to:
- be students of 2nd, 3rd or higher year of legal studies at the University of Wrocław,
- use English at least B1 level,
- and be able to discuss in that language key issues of Public International Law.
Students are expected to make their own accommodation and travel arrangements. Financial support supposed to be Erasmus Blended Intensive Program. In this very case, assuming travel to Berlin via bus or train, BIP overall scholarship amount is 540€.
Recruitment will be carried out on 24th of February at 9.45 in room 219A. All queries on the Summer School and financial support will be addressed by Dr. Michał Stępień (michal.stepienuwr.edu.pl).
