Call for applications for Summer Schools in Public International Law and Private International Law (LLM) (April-July 2025) within the field of Private Law
What is it about?
The EDELNet Partnership is delighted to announce that we are inviting applications to the annual EDELNet LL.M. Summer School Summer School. The online phase of the program will start in spring 2025 and the face-to-face final phase will take place this year in Hamburg (Germany) from 14th to 18th of July. As in previous years, 20 students from the FernUniversität Hagen (Germany), the Open Universiteit (Netherlands), UNED (Spain), the Open University (UK) and the University of Wroclaw (Poland) will meet at a wonderful location in the EU and have the opportunity to work together as international litigating teams in a moot court simulation designed to offer a high quality learning experience and insight into real lawyering work. The University of Wrocław may nominate 4 students to participate in the Summer School within the field of Private law.
In addition, participants will get a valuable chance to have a meaningful exchange with students and instructors from other European jurisdictions in an institutionally supportive and intellectually challenging environment.
The programme begins with an online preparatory phase in spring during which participants are expected to take a few short online courses. In the course of the programme you will receive well-structured and intensive training not only in legal matters, but also in soft skills such as academic debate, legal English, intercultural communication and team work.
This year again we are running two parallel moot court simulations, one dealing with private legal problems, the other with Public International Law. In order for us to better process your applications, we kindly ask you to indicate in which of the two moot courts you would like to participate (PrivIL or PubIL).
Am I eligible?
Successful applicants are expected to have a good command of English. Participants are expected to make their own accommodation and travel arrangements. Accommodation and travel expenses may be covered through Erasmus+ Short-Term Mobility funding or other funding opportunities at your home university.
