We are pleased to announce that on May 13-16, 2024, the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics held educational training sessions for participants of the project launched by the University of Wrocław under the EU-funded EDUPART initiative entitled "Public Administration, Local Self-Governance and Citizens Participation for the New Belarus."
As the part of EDUPART project, participants visited Wrocław for a four-day intensive educational sessions on public administration, its challenges and reforms.
During the training sessions the project participants learned about the principles of public administration in Poland, with particular emphasis on the local self-government.
At the sessions the following issues were discussed:
- European constitutionalism and its values,
- The role of trust in building civil society,
- Good governance and administrative law,
- Administration and public management in a multilingual setting,
- Energy transition as a challenge for public administration of democratic countries.
During their stay in Wrocław, the participants also visited the Wrocław City Hall and the Dialogue Passage on Świdnicka Street. In addition, at the invitation of the local authorities of the City of Oława, they had the opportunity to learn about the organization and functioning of the local self-government there, as well as international cooperation of local self-government units on the example of the City of Oława and the twin cities of Oberasbach (Germany) and Česká Třebová (Czech Republic).
Sessions provided skills development and knowledge in the sphere of public policy and public administration and were highly interactive and engaging for the project participants.
