Dr Anna Śledzińska-Simon is Assistant Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Wrocław, Department of Law, Administration and Economy. She holds a S.J.D. and LL.M. in Comparative Constitutional Law from the Central European University (Budapest, Hungary).
She has held visiting fellowships at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (Budapest, Hungary), New York University School of Law (New York, USA), European University Institute (Florence, Italy), Columbia University School of Law (New York, University) and Max-Planck Institute for Comparative Public and International Law (Heidelberg, Germany).
Since 2013 she has been a member of an international research group led by the Israel Democracy Institute (Jerusalem, Israel) conducting the research on proportionality and public policy funded by the European Research Council. Between 2007-2013 she served as a national expert in the Fundamental Rights Agency legal network (FRALEX). She also worked as a human rights expert with a number of international and domestic NGOs on issues related to non-discrimination.
Anna Śledzińska-Simon is the member of the Editorial Board and the Executive Committee of Anti-Discrimination Law Review published in Poland by Wolters Kluwer. Her recent publications include a co-edited volume Culture and Human Rights. The Wrocław Commentaries (De Gruyter 2016). Her current research concerns EU anti-discrimination law, constitutional identity and the role of women in constitution-making in Central and Eastern Europe.
